The history group meets on the second Wednesday of the month.  Members take it in turns to research an historical  topic that interests them and present  their findings to the rest of the group.

Recent topics have included Quarry Bank Mill, William Strata Smith and Marguerite of France.

In August the group travelled to Southwick Hall where they enjoyed a tour of this fascinating house that spans eight centuries.  We enjoyed lunch at the local pub before the tour and tea in the grounds of the hall after our tour.
